Sofa Clearance Outlet - Terms and Conditions.

1. General

1.1. The Sofa Clearance Outlet is a trading name of Sofology Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with registered number 01778734 whose registered office is:

Ashton Road, Golborne, Warrington, WA3 3UL.

2. Our Products
2.1. All items sold in this store have been checked and categorised as ‘refurbished’.


2.2. Items will be a combination of but not limited to, Ex-Display, Customer Returns or Samples.


2.3. Please note, the items are not brand new and may have defects or damage, all of which will be shown in photographs online. Items may also have signs of usage, although this cannot always be shown online, for example, the interior may be softer due to wear. If you have any questions, our team are always happy to help.

3. Prices
3.1. All of our items are generally fast moving and is therefore sold on a first come first served basis.


3.2. All of the prices shown on our products are inclusive of VAT.


3.3. If the rate of VAT changes between your order date and the date we supply the product, we adjust the rate of VAT that you pay, unless you have already paid in full before the change in the rate of VAT takes effect. For details on how you can speak with our team, visit our Contact Us page.


4. Orders
4.1. If you buy online, we contact you by email to confirm we;ve received your order and then we contact you again to confirm a date for delivery.


4.2. Sometimes we reject orders, for example, because a product becomes unexpectedly unavailable, because a credit reference we have obtained is unsatisfactory, because you are located outside our delivery areas, as stated on our website, or because the product was mispriced by us. When this happens, we let you know as soon as possible and refund any sums you have paid.

5. Payments
5.1. For instore purchases, we accept the following methods of payment;

5.3. Please note we are unable to take cash payments.


6. Delivery

6.1 We want to make sure it’s as easy as possible to receive your order, we can therefore arrange your delivery using one of our preferred third party delivery partners, as well as allowing you the opportunity to collect from our store.

6.2 We offer delivery for all of our upholstery items, however, single Accessory items purchased without a sofa can only be collected from the Store.#

6.3 Delivery can only be arranged once the balance has been paid in full. A member of the team will contact you to arrange delivery.

6.4 All items purchased from the Sofa Clearance Outlet must be delivered within 7 days of the order being placed.   

6.5 You are responsible for making sure that either yourself or an adult (18 years or over) that is authorised to accept and sign for the delivery on your behalf, is available to accept and sign for the delivery.

6.6 If the item does not fit on delivery, we are happy for items to be returned to us and can help you choose an alternative item providing that you notify us on the day of delivery, and that the items are then returned to us unused and in the same condition of sale. We can arrange the collection on your behalf,

6.7 It is your responsibility to ensure that you notify us in relation to any changes to your delivery address. 

6.8 If you need to rearrange your delivery, we ask that you give us 24 hours’ notice so we can make arrangements with our delivery partners. Failure to do this, or if you miss your delivery, you may be charged a failed delivery fee of £99.

6.9 Occasionally, we may be able to hold furniture for a maximum of 14 days of you placing the order, this would need to be agreed with a member of the team as we do not have storage facilities.

6.10 Where we agree to store your product for longer than 7 days from your order date, we may charge up to £20.00 per day for storage costs. This must be paid directly to store. These charges will not apply where we have been unable to arrange a delivery date within 7 days of the date of the order due to lack of delivery capacity.

6.11 If we have been unable to arrange for delivery to take place within 14 days of the date of order, your order will be cancelled, items will be restocked for sale and you will be refunded in full using the same method by which you purchased the items.

6.12 To ensure you receive your sofa in the best condition and as quickly as possible, we work with a network of Delivery Partners. It will depend on your location around the country as to which Partner we dispatch your sofa with, but all offer a fast and reliable service to ensure your sofa arrives on the agreed date and is placed in your room of choice.

6.13 Any steps that we take to assist with third party delivery companies will be in the capacity of an introducer.  We don’t receive any commission from the delivery companies that we introduce you to and any issues arising in relation to delivery will be between you and the delivery company.

6.14 We offer delivery for all of our upholstery items, however single accessory items purchased without a sofa can only be collected from the store.

6.15 You are responsible for making sure that either yourself, or an adult (18 years or over) that is authorised to accept and sign for the delivery on your behalf, is available to accept and sign for the delivery.

6.16 You are responsible for using the measurements provided on the Sofa Clearance Outlet website to:

  1. Ensure the sofa fits in your room of choice. 
  2. Ensure the sofa fits through any and all hallways, rooms and doors en route to your room of choice.


7. Delivery Charges

7.1 All orders placed with The Sofa Clearance Outlet (Excluding accessories) will include free delivery as standard across all UK Mainland addresses (Including Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands). For non-mainland addresses (the Islands of Scotland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Wight and the Republic of Ireland the delivery and installation fee will be £199.

 

8. What’s included within the Delivery?

Free delivery includes all transport costs from the showroom or Customer Delivery Centre, via our Deliver Partners Network, to your home. Our Delivery Partners will bring your sofa(s) into your room of your choice and set up the sofa before removing all packaging.

 

8. Our Delivery Partners

8.1 Any steps that we take to assist with third party delivery companies will be in the capacity of an introducer. We don’t receive any commission from the delivery companies that we introduce you to and any issues that may arise in relation to delivery will be between you and the delivery company.



9. Ownership of Goods

9.1 You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered at the time of successful delivery.

 

10. Damage

10.1 Upon receiving your order, please fully inspect the items to make sure they’re correct, and have no damage, defects or levels of wear other than what was already present at the point of purchase.

10.2 If your order isn’t as expected, please contact us immediately. 

 

11. Warranty

11.1 No warranty or guarantee is given by us or any manufacturer in relation to the items purchased from this store. Your statutory rights are not affected.

11.2 All items are reduced in price to reflect the condition, as items may have defects, damage and a level of wear and tear. Therefore, the condition is reflected in the prices shown both in store and online.

 

12. Reporting a Problem 

12.1 If you have any questions or complaints about the items, please contact us as soon as possible.

12.4 Your statutory rights are not affected by anything in these terms and conditions. We recommend you contact your local Citizens Advice for more information about your legal rights.

 

13 Cancelling or Amending an Order 

13.1 For most of our products bought online or in-store, you have a legal right to change your mind about your purchase and receive a refund of what you paid for it.

13.2 If you change your mind about a product you must let us know no later than 14 days after the day we deliver your product.

13.3 To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

13.4 To let us know you want to change your mind, contact our Customer Service Team at Southport@Sofaclearanceoutlet.co.uk. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send the product. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note: if we are arranging the collection on your behalf, the delivery partner will already have the label and will put it on your items for you. You will also be charged a collection fee at the same cost as the original delivery.

13.5 Once the items have been returned to us, a member of the team will inspect them. If the items have been used or damage has been caused, a fee will be deducted to reflect the cost of the damage.

13.6 We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know about your refund. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please note: it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. We do not charge a fee for refunding you. 

 

14. Exchanges

14.1 The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
